Culmination Activity

CLASS: PRE NURSERY – BALVATIKA 3
DAY AND DATE: SATURDAY, 2nd AUGUST, 25.
On August 2, 2025, our school hosted a vibrant Culmination Activity, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India and the world. Our little ones from Pre-Nursery to K2 dazzled the audience with their traditional attire and creative costumes, representing various Indian states and countries. The students' charming performances, lively skits, and projects brought each state and country to life, highlighting their unique traditions, food, dress and cultures. The Parent Connect Activity added a delightful dimension, as parents and kids walked the ramp together, dressed in attire representing their assigned country or state. The event was a testament to our school's commitment to fostering cultural diversity, creativity and togetherness. Parent feedback echoed the success of the event, praising the students' confidence, teamwork, and creativity. It was a truly unforgettable experience, celebrating the beauty of our differences and the spirit of unity. The school hosted the Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Session 2025–26 on 1st August, 2025 with great enthusiasm and pride. It marked a significant occasion as leadership responsibilities were officially conferred upon the newly elected Student Council members. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and leadership. This was followed by a dignified handover of responsibilities by the outgoing council members to the newly elected council, signifying continuity and trust. The newly appointed leaders pledged to carry out their duties with integrity, responsibility, and commitment. The Head Boy and Head Girl delivered heartfelt speeches, sharing their vision and expressing gratitude. Teachers and parents present applauded the confidence and sincerity reflected in the new council members. The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the school leadership, inspiring students to lead by example and contribute positively to the school community.

Medical Camp

As part of our commitment to promoting the physical and mental well-being of our school community, Birla Open Minds International School organized a Health Awareness Workshop and Health Check-up Camp on 26th July 2025, in collaboration with Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow. The camp was conducted by a team of expert doctors and healthcare professionals representing various specialties. It included: • General health check-ups • Dental and vision screening • Dietary counselling • Physiotherapy consultation • Blood pressure monitoring, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), and BMI analysis The camp catered to students, parents, teachers, and staff, offering a valuable opportunity for preventive screening and early health assessment. The event served as a meaningful step toward building a healthier, more informed school community. We look forward to continued collaboration with reputed healthcare institutions in the future to ensure the holistic development and well-being of our students, staff, and parents.

Sugar Boards Initiative

As part of the Sugar Boards Initiative introduced by CBSE, a special awareness assembly was conducted on 21 July, 2025 to educate students about the impact of excessive sugar consumption and to promote healthier lifestyle choices. The assembly began with a thought-provoking quote on health and well-being, followed by a brief introduction on the importance of limiting sugar intake. Students highlighted the harmful effects of excessive sugar consumption through a short skit and informative speeches. They explained how high sugar levels can lead to various health issues such as obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay, especially among children and teenagers. This initiative aims to raise awareness about excessive sugar consumption and its associated health risks, including obesity, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related diseases, which are increasingly affecting children at a young age. The session was informative and engaging, successfully spreading awareness among students about making conscious decisions regarding their daily sugar intake.

No Plastic Zone" Initiative

As part of our school's ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility, we have launched a "No Plastic Zone" initiative in line with the CBSE's emphasis on eco-friendly practices. To reinforce this initiative, we conducted a Paper Bag Making activity for our primary grade students. On July 18, 2025, students from Grade 1-4 participated in the "Bag it Right: Paper Bags for a Greener Sight" activity. The activity aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of adopting sustainable practices and the adverse effects of plastic pollution. Students created paper bags, exhibiting creativity, responsibility, and enthusiasm throughout the activity. The activity aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable practices, educate students about the adverse effects of plastic pollution, encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives and foster environmental stewardship among young learners. The event was well-received and successfully met its objective of sensitizing students to environmental issues. Students demonstrated a better understanding of the importance of reducing plastic waste and adopting eco-friendly habits.

Slogan Savvy (Slogan Writing) (Grades1-4)

For the theme World Earth Day, a slogan writing activity was organized on 24.04.2025 for (grades 1-4) with the aim of spreading awareness about environmental conservation and promoting creative expression among students. Students actively participated in the event, showcasing their creativity and concern for the planet through impactful slogans.The activity not only encouraged environmental awareness but also helped students reflect on their responsibility toward Mother Earth. The slogan writing activity was a great success, providing a platform for students to voice their environmental concerns and reinforcing the importance of Earth Day. It served as a reminder that every small step counts in making a big difference for our planet.

Counselling Session

Together We Shine: Building Beautiful Friendships in School

A counselling session was conducted for primary students (Grade 1-4) to emphasize the importance of friendship among students. The session aimed to promote social skills, empathy, and positive relationships. Students shared their thoughts on friendship, and interactive activities demonstrated the value of teamwork and cooperation. They learned about active listening, conflict resolution, and effective communication. The session helped students understand the significance of friendship, empathy, kindness, and respect. By promoting positive friendships, we can create a supportive and inclusive school environment. The session was a success and we will continue such initiatives to reinforce valuable social skills.

Guru Purnima

Our school celebrated Guru Purnima with great enthusiasm and devotion. Students participated in various activities, including group chants and prayers like the soulful "Guru Brahma" prayer. Student monologues highlighted the importance of gurus, while teacher talks emphasized the significance of the guru-shishya relationship. The event fostered gratitude and respect among students towards their teachers, reinforcing values like humility, obedience and dedication. Overall, the celebration was a success, reminding everyone of the pivotal role gurus play in guiding us towards knowledge, wisdom and spiritual growth.

Model united Nations – Concordia 2025 at Allenhouse Public School

Representing Birla Open Minds International School, Shaheed Path, the students of Grade 8 and 9 showcased their talents in diplomacy and leadership at AllenHouse Public School. Portraying prominent leaders such as Chandrababu Naidu, Chirag Paswan, and others, the students delivered impactful speeches and shared their views on pressing national issues, including the Manipur violence, as well as other significant global concerns.

A group of bright young minds from BOMIS is representing us at the Model United Nations (MUN) hosted by Seth M. R. Jaipuria School on 12 April & 13 April 2025. They were the youngest delegates among all participants, stepping confidently into the world of diplomacy, debate, and international relations Energized and well-prepared, they were ready to voice their perspectives on a variety of pressing international agendas within their respective councils. To celebrate the joyous festival of Baisakhi, our little ones participated in a special assembly where they learned about the significance of Baisakhi — why it is celebrated, how people celebrate it with enthusiasm, and when this vibrant harvest festival is observed. The session was filled with cheerful energy and curiosity as the children discovered the cultural importance of this festival, especially for the farming community. Following the assembly, the children indulged in fun-filled art activities. The excitement didn’t end there! The celebration reached its peak when the dhol beats filled the air, and the kids danced their hearts out to energetic Bhangra songs. It was a delightful day filled with learning, creativity, and celebration.
